Microcement Kitchens in Dubai

Transform Your Kitchen with Microcement

At Dusk & Dune, we specialise in premium microcement applications for kitchen floors, walls, countertops, and cabinetry. Whether you’re renovating a private villa, styling a show kitchen, or designing a hospitality space, microcement offers unmatched durability, easy cleaning, and minimalist elegance — all perfectly suited for Dubai’s climate and contemporary tastes.

Why Microcement Is Ideal for Kitchens

Kitchens are high-use, high-impact environments — but that doesn’t mean you need to sacrifice style for function. Our microcement systems are engineered to resist stains, heat, scratches, and moisture, making them the ideal surface finish for everything from floor to splashback.

Easy to Clean

Non-porous and sealed, microcement repels spills, oil, and splashes. No grout lines, no mould — just wipe clean with a neutral cleaner.

Heat & Moisture Resistant

Perfect for areas near stoves, ovens, and sinks. Our systems hold up to humidity and thermal changes without warping, bubbling, or cracking.

Customisable Finish

From earthy natural tones to bold contemporary greys, we offer dozens of curated colours and textures to suit your cabinetry, lighting and layout.

How much does Microcement cost in Dubai and the UAE?

Factors Affecting Microcement Kitchen Costs

The final price of a microcement installation depends on:

  1. Surface Area & Elements – Floors, walls, splashbacks and worktops all affect pricing depending on coverage and complexity.

  2. Base Preparation – Additional prep may be needed on uneven tiles or porous substrates.

  3. Finish & Texture – Smooth, matte finishes are standard; textured or tinted topcoats may cost more.

  4. Vertical or Custom Features – Curves, islands and MDF cabinetry require specialist application techniques.

Average Cost of Microcement in Dubai & the UAE

While prices vary based on the above factors, the average cost for supply & installation of microcement in Dubai ranges from AED 200 to AED 500 per square metre, depending on the complexity and finish required.

For a standard residential project:

  • Microcement flooring: AED 220 - AED 400 per sqm

  • Microcement walls: AED 210 - AED 285 per sqm

  • Bespoke furniture & countertops: Prices vary based on design and dimensions

FAQ's

  • Can microcement be used inside a swimming pool?
Yes — we use Topcret’s T/Swim system, specially formulated for permanent underwater application. It’s watertight, slip-resistant, and UV stable.
  • Will the colour of my microcement pool fade in the sun?
No — our pool-grade microcement is fully UV protected. Colours remain consistent even under harsh sunlight.
  • Is it safe to apply microcement around the pool surround?
Yes — in fact, it’s ideal. We use sealers with optional anti-slip aggregates to meet safety standards around wet zones.
  • Can I renovate my old tiled pool using microcement?
Yes — in many cases, we can apply over existing surfaces without the need for full demolition. We’ll assess the condition during a site visit.
  • Is microcement affected by chlorine or saltwater?
Our system is resistant to both. With proper care and maintenance, microcement performs well in chlorinated or salt-treated pools.
  • Is microcement the same as micro concrete, microcrete or microtopping?
These terms are often used interchangeably, but they’re not always the same. At Dusk & Dune, we use true microcement — a thin, polymer-modified cement coating designed for seamless decorative finishes. Some products labelled micro concrete, microcrete, or microtopping may differ in thickness, flexibility, or application methods. If you’re unsure, we’ll be happy to guide you on the right material for your project.
  • On what types of surfaces can microcement be applied?
Different microcement products have their own limitations, but Dusk & Dune's microcements can go over almost any surface. The general rule is: as long as it's smooth, solid & stable, microcement can go over it! But be sure to use the right brand, and the right installer!
  • Does Dusk & Dune provide a warranty?
Yes, Dusk & Dune provides a 5 year warranty on the product, and the installation. In that time, If there are any defaults caused by either, then it will be repaired for free. However, if there are issues caused from the substrate or environment, that would be covered in our warranty.
  • Can Microcement go over wood or parquet floors?
Due to wood being an organic product, it flexes and contracts with temperature, creating an unstable foundation for microcement to be applied to, therefore unfortunately it's one of the very few substrates that it cannot be installed over.
  • What can I use to apply over my stairs?
Any of Dusk & Dune's microcements are an option for application over stairs. However, it's usually recommended to use our strongest range - Baxab Eco, due to it being an area that goes through more knocks than perhaps some other parts of a project.
  • Which product can I use for an exterior surface
All D&D microcements can be installed on exterior surfaces, provided precautions are taken to properly waterproof the bases where the coatings are applied. With these measures plus a correct planimetry, rising damp and accumulations of water on the surface are avoided. Remember, our microcement is completely UV protected, so sunlight won't damage or affect the colour.
  • Is microcement slip-resistant
While different microcements vary in their slip ratings, Dusk & Dune's microcements are all commercially viable due to it's fantastic slip reports, taken by third party's. We can even add an aggregate to the final layer, which send the resistance sky-high, but this generally isn't necessary at all
  • Why do some companies say they can't apply over tiles, but you do?
The microcement we use, along with the highly skilled installers we have to hand, mean that we know precisely how to install over tiles, knowing which precautions to take in order to ensure you don't have to worry about the costs for demolition & disposal of the existing tiles. Saving you an incredible amount of money if you're doing a renovation!
  • How long does microcement last?
Microcement can last well over our 5 year warranty period if taken care of correctly. We have maintenance packages as well for commercial projects if necessary. Go to our downloads page and check out the maintenance manual for more info
  • Can I put microcement in my swimming pool?
Normal microcement products are not suitable for swimming pools or areas in constant contact with water. However, D&D has Topcret's T/Swim range - a product that has been specially made for such occasions.
